Privacy Policy for Praeter Health
Last Updated: August 26, 2026
Praeter Health ("we," "us," or "our") provides a health-tracking and wellness information platform (the "Service"), operated by Ingram Interactive. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have regarding that information. Please read it carefully before using the Service.
1. Not a Substitute for Medical Care
The Service is for informational and self-tracking purposes only. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional medical care. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider with questions about your health. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately — do not rely on the Service in an emergency.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect: account information (name, email, phone number); health-related information you voluntarily enter or upload (such as symptoms, measurements, logs, or notes); device/usage information (IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, app interaction data); and payment information, which is processed by a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe) — we do not store your full payment card number.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; personalize the information and features shown to you; communicate with you about your account, your data, or support requests; and, only with your separate consent where required, send you marketing communications.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal or health-related information. We may share information with: service providers who perform functions on our behalf (hosting, analytics, customer support, payment processing) under confidentiality and data-protection obligations; a healthcare provider or other party you explicitly direct us to share your information with; professional advisors as needed; and law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when required by law or to protect health or safety. If this Service is ever used in connection with a licensed healthcare provider or covered entity, a separate agreement governing that relationship (such as a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement) will apply to information covered by that relationship.
5. California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA)
If you are a California resident, your medical information may be protected under the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA), in addition to the rights described below. We will not disclose your medical information except as permitted by CMIA, including with your authorization or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
6. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you the right to: know what personal information (including sensitive personal information such as health data) we have collected about you and how it has been used and shared; request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions; correct inaccurate personal information; limit the use of your sensitive personal information to purposes necessary to provide the Service; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising); and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@praeterhealth.com. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on your request.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, given its sensitivity. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify affected users and, where required, regulators, in the event of a data breach involving your personal information, consistent with applicable law.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal and health-related information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last Updated" date and, for material changes affecting how we handle health information, will make reasonable efforts to notify active users.
11. Contact Us
